CAMH "Man Made" sneak peak

I went to the Champagne and Ribs event at the Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston on Thursday. We were able to get a sneak peak of the exhibit before it officially showed to the public. In one word I would say it was…"Interesting".

I was touring the exhibit constantly saying to myself "art is in the eye of the beholder" because some of the exhibits... well... looked like it came out of a scary dream. One of the guests touring with us said it reminded her of the movie Video Drome...lol (if you seen it then you know why it is like a scary dream).

Well we got a sneak peak and now I’m passing my “peak” to you via my camera phone! Enjoy...oh and also I took a quick video snippet of a video they had on display, and... um... yea...it was scary… to me. Tell me what you think!

Peace

this one was the one that reminded me of a bad dream and also the video at the end was tied with this exhibit!

simply amazing!

Photographer: Andreas Smetana

Agency: Razor Junior

This image was based on an illustration. Features, such as eyes, eyebrows, lips and cheekbones, were etched with individual body shapes. In the studio photographer Andreas Smetana recreated the illustration in parts by shooting groups of naked talent as separate pieces of the puzzle.

bernstein's

BREATHTAKING... is the word that comes to my mind when looking at this photography.

Rita Bernstein's work is on display and for sale at the John Clearly Gallery, 2635 Colquitt, Houston, TX 77098.

Her pictures are ghostly and enchanting.

The below pictures are hand applied silver emulsion on Japanese gampi paper, these are not old pictures, they were all shot in the 2000s.

Well one of the series on my blog that I will include are post that will include pictures from my phone, digital camera, or whatever of various things that I like at various places I go (including locally). This will include art, sculptures, architecture, people, etc...

I went to Austin for 1 day and took a couple of pics on my cell phone of what I like and disliked. Enjoy my journey.

In the lobby of the condos we stayed in this was the in the lobby. This is my view looking up at it. It reminded me of the solar system.
